Birth And Brief Qualifications

DAVID O. OYETUNJI, Ph. D. (Econ); M. Sc.(Econ.); B. Sc Hons.(Econ.); PGPD (Accounting); MNIM; FCNA, FCSA (USA), FCIMA, DE (UK) is the principal mover and initiator of the UIS International Schools (Formerly called Unity International Schools), from an EXTRAL – MURAL Study Centre into a full fledge School, with one Headquarters and one branch. He was born in 1960.

Dr. David O. Oyetunji, the Governing School Board Chairman, is a seasoned Economist, Fellow Certified and Chartered Accountant and Auditor and one who has strong passion for education. He holds B. Sc. (Hons.) Economics with Second Class (Upper Division) from ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile – Ife, Oyo State in 1990. He also obtained M. Sc. Economics from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State in 1996. He recently bagged Ph. D. Economics from the University of Abuja, Abuja. Apart from his academic degrees, Dr. Oyetunji has obtained several professional qualifications in Accountancy, Management and Information Technology. He has other over 40 certificates on Management Courses spread over Management, ICT, Auditing, Accounting, Investigation, Fraud Detection, Website Design and Development, etc.

Brief Career Background:

 

His multi-disciplinary culture to academic excellence has given him the opportunity to work at different times as an Accountant; Auditor; Research Economist; Consultant and Administrative Manager. Even though he joined National Automotive Council in 1997 as a Senior Accountant, he has since then risen to the position of a Director (Finance and Account). Dr. Oyetunji has acquired world wide experience in automotive industries.

Traveling Experiences:

  • The Board Chairman is an adventurer who travels round the world for exploits. Apart from visiting Ghana in 2005 and 2019, Dr. Oyetunji was sent twice to India (2006 , 2007, 2010 and 2019) to inspect the laboratory of the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), an Automotive Test Centre, the outcome of it led to the process of establishing three Automotive Testing Centers, Emission in Lagos, Components in Enugu and Materials/Evaluation in Zaria all in Nigeria, Africa. Dr. Oyetunji also went to United States of America in 2007 for a Strategic Leadership Seminar at the Concordia University, Saint Paul, Minnesota. During the tail end of the Year 2007, Dr. Oyetunji was in Istanbul, Turkey to participate in the 13th Otomotiv Exhibition/Show orgarnised by CNR EXPO in ISTANBUL, TURKEY.
